Ogoja, Cross River State — A dramatic scene unfolded in Ogoja, Cross River State, when a man lay beneath one of the Jeeps in the convoy of NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi, insisting that he would not move until he was granted an opportunity to see the former Anambra State governor.
Eyewitnesses said the man ran toward the convoy before positioning himself underneath one of the convoy’s vehicles, repeatedly demanding to meet Obi. The unexpected action briefly halted the convoy as security personnel and members of the entourage carefully managed the situation to avoid any harm.
The incident attracted the attention of residents and supporters gathered along the route, many of whom watched as efforts were made to persuade the man to come out from beneath the vehicle.
No injuries or security breaches were reported, and the convoy resumed its journey after the situation was peacefully resolved.
