Concerns have been raised over the condition and prolonged construction of a Primary Health Centre in Ukala Okwute community, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, with a resident calling for urgent government intervention.
A social media commentator who recently visited the community expressed disappointment over the state of the health facility, alleging that the project has remained incomplete for approximately 16 years.
According to the commentator, the condition of the facility reflects broader concerns about public infrastructure and service delivery in parts of Delta North Senatorial District.
The commentator further questioned how local government allocations have been utilized over the years, particularly in Oshimili North LGA, noting that successive administrations have overseen the area during the period the project reportedly remained uncompleted.
“Oshimili North political leaders, what are you doing with the monthly allocations coming into the LGA?” the commentator asked.
The commentator also alleged that some community members claimed money was distributed during the recently concluded primary elections, with over 700 votes reportedly recorded. These claims have not been independently verified.
