The Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM), in collaboration with the Global Peter Obi Support Network (GPOSN) and other participating support groups, will hold coordinated political rallies across four states on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
According to a statement issued by the COPDEM National Secretariat, the rallies will take place simultaneously in Kogi, Benue, Osun and Niger states as part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The organisers said the rallies are aimed at providing a platform for supporters, volunteers, civil society participants and other citizens to publicly identify with the Peter Obi–Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the wider political movement surrounding the 2027 election.

The organisation stressed that participants are expected to conduct themselves peacefully, respect the rights of other citizens and comply with applicable laws and regulations during the rallies.
The four states listed for the September 26 activities are Kogi, Benue, Osun and Niger.
COPDEM further announced that participating support groups are scheduled to hold another round of rallies in Akwa Ibom State and other states on October 3, 2026.
The specific venues, meeting points, times and state coordinators for the rallies are indicated on the rally flyers by the respective organising committees.
The organisation called on participating members and groups to ensure that the activities reflect civic participation, tolerance and respect for the rule of law.
