Tinubu Promises Responsive Governance, Declares End to Neglect in FCT

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to responsive governance in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), declaring that the era of neglect and unfulfilled development promises is over.

The President made the statement while addressing residents and stakeholders during an event in Abuja, where he highlighted ongoing infrastructure and development projects being implemented across the nation’s capital. According to Tinubu, his government is focused on listening to citizens’ concerns and delivering projects that directly improve their quality of life.

“Our government listens,” the President reportedly stated, emphasizing that the administration remains committed to meeting the needs of residents through people-oriented policies and strategic investments.

Tinubu noted that the FCT has witnessed significant progress in road construction, urban renewal, transportation improvements, and public service delivery since the beginning of his administration. He added that these projects are part of broader efforts to transform Abuja into a modern capital city capable of supporting economic growth and attracting investment.

The President also praised the efforts of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in implementing development initiatives aimed at improving living standards for residents in both urban and rural communities.

Political observers say the remarks come amid growing public interest in the performance of the administration and its impact on infrastructure development nationwide. Analysts note that improved roads, housing projects, and public facilities have become key indicators used by citizens to assess government performance.

Residents and community leaders have welcomed several ongoing projects, while also calling for continued attention to issues such as housing, transportation, healthcare, and job creation.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration would remain focused on delivering sustainable development and ensuring that government policies reflect the aspirations of the people.
