President Bola Tinubu has dismissed criticisms against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, insisting that some of those questioning the commission’s credibility are motivated by fear rather than genuine concerns about the electoral process.
Reacting to ongoing debates over INEC’s preparedness for the next election cycle, Tinubu said “those crying wolf are afraid of their own shadows, not me,” while expressing confidence in the ability of Nigeria’s electoral institution to manage future polls effectively.
