Nigerian content creator Peller has fired back at comedian and streamer Carter Efe following comments about his marriage to fellow creator Jarvis, warning that he could have damaged Carter Efe’s career if not for the respect he has for him.
The latest exchange followed remarks by Carter Efe about Peller and Jarvis’ relationship. During an interview on X, Carter suggested that pressure from social media and the internet may have influenced the couple’s decision to marry. He said online expectations could place significant pressure on relationships.
Carter Efe also explained why he was not invited to Peller and Jarvis’ wedding, saying: “Na why dem no invite me come their marriage, dem dey see me as witch, so dem no invite me.”
Peller responded in a video, making it clear that he was unhappy with Carter’s repeated comments about his relationship.
“Carter Efe, I respect you a lot. If not, I would have ended your career a long time ago,” Peller said. He also accused Carter of repeatedly advising him to leave Jarvis and suggested that the comedian was overly interested in competition.
Peller subsequently brought Carter Efe’s personal life into the dispute, raising questions about his previous relationship and responsibilities as a father. He also made additional allegations concerning Carter’s conduct during a trip to the United Kingdom. Those claims have not been independently established.
The exchange has attracted attention because both men are prominent figures in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital entertainment industry, where personal relationships and disagreements frequently become public through livestreams and social media.
Carter Efe and Peller have previously had public disagreements, including an earlier dispute over Peller’s relationship with Jarvis and a trip to the Maldives.
The latest confrontation highlights the increasingly blurred line between personal disputes and online content creation. While both creators have expressed strong opinions, the allegations made during the exchange remain claims and should not be treated as established facts.
For now, attention remains on whether the latest clash will end as another social media dispute or develop into a more serious fallout between the two entertainers.
