Jarvis Reveals Childhood Struggles, TikTok Challenges and How She Met Peller

Nigerian content creator Elizabeth Amadu, popularly known as Jarvis, has opened up about her difficult childhood, struggles before finding success on TikTok and how she eventually met her husband, fellow content creator Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller.

Jarvis made the revelations while reflecting on her journey from a challenging upbringing to becoming one of Nigeria’s prominent social media personalities. She said she was raised in a difficult family environment and experienced significant emotional challenges growing up.

According to Jarvis, her mother lives with bipolar disorder, which she said affected the family environment during her childhood. She also revealed that she grew up without knowing her biological father, describing the experience as difficult.

“I came into a family through a mother who has bipolar disorder,” Jarvis said, explaining that living with her mother could sometimes be “very stressful and depressing.”

She recalled moments when her mother’s condition became severe, saying there were occasions when she would become violent, destroy household items and verbally abuse members of the family. Jarvis said these experiences shaped her childhood and contributed to the difficulties she faced while growing up.

Despite the challenges, Jarvis eventually found an avenue for self-expression and financial independence through TikTok. Her creative content and distinctive online personality helped her build a substantial following and establish herself in Nigeria’s growing creator economy.

Her journey also led to her meeting Peller, with whom she developed a relationship that later became one of Nigeria’s most closely followed celebrity relationships. The pair eventually got married in 2026.

The revelations are significant because they offer a more personal perspective on a public figure often known primarily for her online comedy and digital content. Her story also highlights how social media can become a pathway to opportunities for young Nigerians.
