Nigerian content creator Geh Geh has advised men to be more cautious about the amount of money they spend on romantic partners, saying personal financial growth should remain a priority.
Speaking during an interview on the BTC Podcast, Geh Geh argued that some men put themselves under financial pressure by taking on major expenses for their partners while neglecting their own needs.
He stated that men should avoid making significant financial commitments, such as paying for a partner’s education or setting up businesses, unless they are certain about the future of the relationship.
According to him, supporting a partner should not come at the expense of an individual’s long-term financial stability.
Geh Geh also shared his views on the responsibilities of men and women in relationships, stating that both genders have different roles and expectations.
While discussing marriage and financial responsibilities, he maintained that he was not opposed to relationships but criticised situations where people rely on romantic partnerships as a means of escaping financial difficulties.
“I’m not really against relationships. I dey against women wey wan use relationship take escape poverty,” he said.
