Brazilian influencer Virginia Fonseca, partner of Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr, has expressed deep grief following the deaths of her personal bodyguard, Rogerio Camilo Ramos, and his wife, Paula Regina Rodarte Camilo, in a motorcycle accident in Brazil.
Fonseca announced the deaths on social media after the accident, explaining that she had waited for the families to be informed before making a public statement. She said the news had left her devastated.
“Since I received the news, I haven’t been able to do anything else; my heart is shattered,” Fonseca said in a tribute to the couple.
The accident occurred on Sunday, September 13, on the BR-060 highway near Guapó, in Goiás state. According to reports, Camilo was riding the motorcycle when he lost control and collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while Paula later suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest despite efforts to revive her.
Fonseca described Camilo as a trusted member of her family who had provided security and support, particularly in caring for the safety of her children. She also paid tribute to Paula and offered condolences to their relatives.
The tragedy has attracted international attention because of Fonseca’s relationship with Vinicius Jr, one of Real Madrid’s most prominent players. The couple had recently been seen together at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, shortly before Fonseca received news of the deaths.
The couple reportedly left behind a 12-year-old daughter, Heloísa. Fonseca said she would support the girl and help ensure that she is surrounded by care and affection following the loss of her parents.
Rogerio Camilo Ramos, 53, was reportedly a retired lieutenant of the Goiás Military Police and worked as Fonseca’s private security guard. His wife, Paula, was 43. Both were also associated with a church in Goiânia.
The fatal crash has prompted an outpouring of condolences, while Fonseca continues to mourn the loss of two people she described as deeply important to her family.
