Peter Obi Pays Condolence Visits to Amaechi, Rev. William Okoye’s Family, and Isaac Fayose

Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Sunday paid a series of condolence visits to prominent Nigerians who recently lost loved ones, offering prayers, comfort, and solidarity to the bereaved families.

Obi first visited former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, following the passing of his beloved mother. During the visit, he prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal rest while asking for divine comfort and strength for Amaechi, his family, and all those mourning the loss.

He also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Reverend Dr. William Okoye, whom he described as a revered elder brother whose death represents a significant loss to Nigeria and humanity. Obi praised the late cleric’s remarkable life of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering service to God and society, noting that his enduring legacy would continue to inspire generations to come.

The former Anambra State governor further visited businessman Mr. Isaac Fayose, who was recently bereaved, to personally express his heartfelt sympathies and stand in solidarity with him during the difficult period.

Reflecting on the visits, Obi emphasized the importance of compassion and unity during times of grief.

“In moments of grief, standing with one another is one of the greatest expressions of our shared humanity. I pray that Almighty God grants the departed eternal rest and comforts every family in mourning.”

The condolence visits underscore Peter Obi’s message of empathy, faith, and support for families experiencing loss, while encouraging Nigerians to uphold the values of love, compassion, and shared humanity in difficult times.
