Henry Seriake Dickson, National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has met with the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in Abuja to discuss the party’s affairs and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held at Kwankwaso’s residence, focused on issues of mutual interest concerning the party, including strategies for strengthening internal cohesion and responding to recent legal developments affecting the NDC.
According to the party, both leaders discussed measures to address the implications of the recent Federal High Court ruling that set aside the earlier judgment compelling the registration of the NDC. The party has consistently described the ruling as anomalous and has already filed an appeal, maintaining that it remains a registered political party pending the outcome of the appellate process.
Dickson and Kwankwaso reportedly reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Nigeria’s multi-party democratic system, emphasizing the importance of allowing all legally recognized political parties to participate freely in the country’s electoral process.
The leaders also reiterated their resolve to maintain party unity and continue mobilizing members across the country as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace.
