The leadership of the OK Movement, a coalition comprising supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Tuesday held a high-level meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, in what the group described as a strategic engagement aimed at charting a better course for Nigeria’s future.

According to a statement released by the movement, the discussions centered on strengthening cooperation among key stakeholders to advance national development, foster inclusive leadership, and encourage broader citizen participation in governance. The meeting was described as part of ongoing efforts to promote constructive dialogue on issues affecting the country and to explore pathways toward sustainable progress.

The statement noted that participants emphasized the importance of justice, equity, equal opportunity, and good governance as fundamental pillars for building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous nation. They stressed that these values remain essential for addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic and political challenges while creating an environment where all citizens can thrive regardless of background or affiliation.

The movement further reaffirmed its commitment to advocating policies and initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and national cohesion. It expressed confidence that through collective effort, responsible leadership, and active civic engagement, Nigeria can achieve meaningful transformation and unlock its full potential.

At the conclusion of the meeting, members of the coalition reiterated the movement’s enduring message and vision for the country, declaring once again that “A New Nigeria Is Possible.”
