Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has revealed that Afrobeats star Davido personally warned him to stop making insulting remarks about fellow music heavyweight Wizkid.
Carter Efe made the disclosure during a recent Twitch livestream while addressing speculation that Davido was behind his repeated comments about Wizkid. According to the content creator, the reality was the opposite, as Davido had contacted him directly to distance himself from the controversy.
“Davido texted me and told me I should never ever in my life insult Wizkid again,” Carter Efe said during the livestream.
He also claimed that Davido was concerned that fans might assume he was encouraging Carter Efe to target Wizkid because of their relationship. Carter Efe rejected that interpretation, saying Davido had made his position clear.
The revelation is significant because Carter Efe has repeatedly been involved in online conversations surrounding the long-running rivalry between Davido and Wizkid. His public comments about Wizkid have previously generated reactions from fans of both artistes, leading to speculation about whether he had the backing of Davido.
