The United States government has released an updated list of 124 Nigerian nationals slated for deportation as part of its ongoing immigration enforcement campaign targeting individuals with final removal orders and serious criminal convictions.
According to reports, the affected Nigerians are among 300 foreign nationals identified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for deportation. Authorities said many of those listed have been placed on what officials describe as a “worst-of-the-worst” criminal register, which includes individuals convicted of offences such as fraud, drug trafficking, sexual assault, robbery, and other serious crimes.
The updated list reportedly includes the names and photographs of the affected individuals as part of the U.S. government’s effort to increase transparency in immigration enforcement. Officials maintain that the deportation process is being carried out in accordance with existing immigration laws and follows the completion of legal proceedings against those affected.
