Sunday Igboho Commends Tinubu’s Efforts in Securing Release of Kidnapped Oyo Students and Teachers

Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its efforts in securing the release of kidnapped students and teachers in Oyo State, saying the government took decisive steps to ensure their safe return.

Igboho made the remarks while reacting to the successful rescue of the victims who were abducted during an attack that raised concerns over security challenges in the state. He acknowledged the commitment of security agencies and government officials involved in the operation, describing the outcome as a relief to affected families and residents.

According to Igboho, the Federal Government showed seriousness and urgency in responding to the incident, noting that no effort was spared in ensuring that the victims regained their freedom. He expressed appreciation for the coordination between security personnel and relevant authorities during the rescue process.

The Oyo kidnapping incident had generated widespread concern among Nigerians, with calls for stronger measures to protect schools, communities, and public institutions from criminal activities. Security experts have repeatedly emphasized the importance of intelligence gathering, community engagement, and improved security infrastructure in tackling kidnapping and other forms of insecurity.

Igboho also urged authorities to sustain efforts aimed at preventing future attacks, stressing that the safety of citizens should remain a top priority. He called for continued collaboration between government agencies, local communities, and security organizations to address emerging security threats across the country.

The activist, who has previously spoken extensively on security challenges affecting communities in the South-West, maintained that protecting lives and property requires collective responsibility and consistent action.

The release of the kidnapped students and teachers has continued to attract reactions from political leaders, community stakeholders, and members of the public, many of whom have expressed relief while demanding stronger security measures to prevent similar incidents.

The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to improving national security and ensuring that criminal networks are brought to justice as part of ongoing efforts to protect Nigerians.
