The August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election has entered the final stages of collation, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party maintaining a lead over his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Results collated from 303 of Osun’s 332 wards put Adeleke ahead with 177,572 votes, while Oyebamiji had 158,588 votes. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was in third position with 5,917 votes at that stage. �

As collation progressed at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo, results from additional local governments continued to be announced. For example, in Olorunda, APC recorded 24,671 votes against Accord’s 23,514, while Accord won Ejigbo with 18,458 votes against APC’s 16,195.
Earlier, data compiled from the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) also showed Adeleke leading with approximately 52.75 per cent of votes uploaded at that stage, compared with 44.36 per cent for Oyebamiji and 1.66 per cent for Salaam.
INEC had uploaded about 94 per cent of polling-unit results to IReV by 11:51 p.m. on Saturday, although the official declaration had not yet been made at the time of the latest reports.
