Hassan died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, after battling stage-four cancer. His daughter, Kira Taiwo, confirmed the news during an emotional Instagram Live session, bringing an end to days of uncertainty surrounding the actor’s health.
The actor’s passing came only days after members of his family publicly appealed for medical assistance, revealing that he had been diagnosed with advanced cancer and needed specialised treatment. Earlier reports that he had died had been dismissed by his family as false, making the latest confirmation particularly painful for his supporters and colleagues.
