NDC Aspirants Summit Raises ₦27 Million for Obi–Kwankwaso Presidential Ticket

The atmosphere at the NDC Aspirants Summit held over the weekend at Chelsea Hotel took a dramatic and emotional turn as aspirants, Obidients and Kwankwasiyya supporters reportedly raised a whopping ₦27 million to purchase the presidential nomination ticket for Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of Monday’s deadline.
The development sparked excitement among supporters who described the fundraising effort as a symbolic people-driven movement aimed at reclaiming Nigeria through collective sacrifice and popular participation.
According to the organizers, the decision to mobilize funds for the Obi–Kwankwaso “OK Ticket” was deliberate and historic, insisting that it would remain on record that ordinary Nigerians willingly contributed resources to send the ticket to Aso Rock Presidential Villa to represent the interests of the Nigerian people.
Organizers of the summit stated that the gesture reflects growing public frustration over economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment and governance challenges confronting the country. They argued that Nigerians are increasingly embracing a new political culture built on grassroots participation rather than elite imposition.
Supporters at the event reportedly described the Obi–Kwankwaso alliance as a unifying national movement capable of bridging regional, religious and ethnic divides while offering competence, credibility and people-oriented leadership.
