Junior Ubiribo, son of late Nigerian-British businessman and social media personality Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, has rejected reports that his father’s death in Thailand was caused by complications from a penis enlargement procedure.
Junior made the claims in a video shared online, saying his family was not given sufficient information about what happened to Ubiribo, who died in Bangkok on March 6, 2026, at the age of 43. He questioned the narrative surrounding his father’s final hours and called for greater clarity.
“We as a family lacked complete clarity of anything that happened because it happened in Thailand. So we got to find out about all of this the same time you did,” Junior said.
He further alleged that his father was killed and questioned whether the reported cosmetic procedure could explain injuries he claimed were found on Ubiribo’s body.
“My dad was killed in March,” Junior said, disputing what he described as an attempt to portray his father’s death as being solely connected to his desire for cosmetic enlargement.
However, Junior did not provide medical records or independent evidence supporting the allegations. There has also been no official confirmation of the injuries he mentioned.
The controversy is significant because it places renewed attention on the circumstances surrounding Ubiribo’s death and highlights the gap between his family’s claims and the findings of the medical investigation.
A British coroner concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism linked to hyaluronic acid injected during a cosmetic procedure in Thailand. Reports from the inquest said the procedure involved 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.
Ubiribo’s death has since generated widespread discussion about cosmetic procedures, medical tourism and the importance of proper medical oversight. His son’s latest comments have added another dimension to the case, although the allegations remain unverified.
