Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff has ordered the deployment of special forces operatives to Oyo State following increasing cases of abductions and security threats reported in parts of the state.
The move comes amid growing public concern over kidnappings, armed attacks, and criminal activities affecting communities and major road corridors within Oyo and neighboring areas in the South-West region.
