Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has taken another swipe at Wizkid’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, warning his fans against comparing him with the popular DJ.
Carter Efe made the remarks during a recent livestream while reacting to comparisons between himself and DJ Tunez. He also made an unverified claim about the DJ’s personal hygiene, using the phrase “dirty boxers” while insisting that he should not be compared with him.
“You guys should never compare DJ Tunez, who puts on dirty boxers, to me again,” Carter Efe said during the livestream.
The comment has generated reactions among entertainment fans online, particularly because of Carter Efe’s previous public disagreements involving Wizkid and members of the singer’s team.
Carter Efe has previously spoken about feeling unrecognised by Wizkid’s camp after he released “Machala,” a 2022 tribute song dedicated to the Afrobeats superstar. The song, recorded with singer Berri Tiga, became a major hit and further raised Carter Efe’s profile in Nigeria’s entertainment space.
The latest remarks are significant because they add another chapter to the long-running public tension surrounding Carter Efe and Wizkid’s camp. Although the streamer’s comments have attracted widespread attention, there has been no public response from DJ Tunez or Wizkid regarding the specific hygiene allegation.
DJ Tunez, whose real name is Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, is widely known for his work with Wizkid and has been associated with several prominent Afrobeats projects and performances.
Carter Efe, meanwhile, has built a large following through comedy, livestreaming and music-related content. His relationship with leading Nigerian entertainers has frequently attracted social media attention.
The latest exchange highlights how comments from prominent Nigerian online personalities can quickly become major entertainment stories, particularly when they involve high-profile Afrobeats figures such as Wizkid and members of his team.
