The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the composition of its 50-member Wise Men and Women Policy and Manifesto Committee, marking a major step in the party’s preparations for national governance and policy articulation.
The committee was constituted following the approval of the National Working Committee (NWC) and formally endorsed by the National Chairman of the party, His Excellency, Senator David A. B. Mark, GCON, in line with the ADC’s vision of building a credible, people-oriented, and future-ready political alternative for Nigeria.

According to the party, the committee draws together a broad spectrum of respected Nigerians, including former public office holders, academics, technocrats, policy experts, civil society leaders, and professionals with deep experience across governance, economic management, social development, security, and democratic reform. The diversity and depth of the committee, the ADC says, underscore its commitment to competence, integrity, and national consensus.
The committee will be chaired by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, with renowned political economist Professor Pat Utomi serving as Deputy Chairman, while Salihu Lukman will act as Secretary. Its core mandate is to articulate a clear, coherent, and credible policy framework that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians and positions the ADC as a serious platform for responsible leadership and national renewal.
The party has scheduled the formal inauguration of the committee for Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12 noon, at the Conference Hall of the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja.
Reaffirming its belief that Nigeria’s complex challenges require ideas rooted in competence and integrity, the ADC expressed confidence that the committee will deliver a manifesto that speaks directly to the real needs, hopes, and future of Nigerians. Party members and relevant stakeholders have been urged to take note of the development.
