ADC Lagos Disowns Federal High Court Suit, Reaffirms Commitment to Party Unity

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Lagos State chapter, has formally distanced itself from an ongoing suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja, stating that it neither authorized nor endorsed the legal action purportedly filed on behalf of all state chairmen and executive committees of the party.
In a press release signed by the State Chairman, George Ashiru, the chapter made it clear that it was not consulted prior to the filing of the suit and did not grant any individual or group the mandate to act on its behalf. The statement emphasized that the legal action reflects the personal position of the plaintiffs involved and should not be misconstrued as representing the collective stance of ADC Lagos State.
The Lagos chapter reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, adherence to the rule of law, and the preservation of unity and stability within the party. While acknowledging the right of individuals to seek judicial interpretation, the leadership cautioned against presenting such actions as decisions taken collectively by the party structure.
ADC Lagos State further stressed its focus on strengthening its internal framework and advancing the shared interests of its members and supporters, distancing itself from actions capable of creating division within the party.
