ADC Imo Distances Self from Suit Against National Leadership, Affirms Loyalty

The (ADC), Imo State chapter, has officially dissociated itself from reports of a lawsuit allegedly filed by state chairmen against the party’s national leadership at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In a press statement issued by the Imo State Chairman, , the chapter clarified that neither the state structure nor its leadership is involved in the legal action. The statement emphasized that the Imo ADC remains committed to internal party discipline and due process, rejecting what it described as “mischievous litigations” aimed at creating confusion and undermining the party’s credibility.

The chapter reaffirmed its loyalty to the national leadership under , stressing confidence in the party’s ability to resolve disputes through established internal mechanisms rather than through the courts.

According to the statement, Southeast leaders of the party had, at an expanded Zonal Executive Committee meeting held in Enugu on March 19, unanimously resolved that all members from the zone should withdraw from ongoing litigations against the party. The Imo chapter noted its full alignment with this resolution and declared its complete withdrawal from the matter before the Federal High Court.
