The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a fresh power outage in parts of Abuja, adding to concerns over electricity supply in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
The latest notice is expected to affect electricity supply to residents and businesses within areas connected to the affected transmission facilities. TCN typically issues such notifications when maintenance, repair, construction or other operational activities require temporary interruptions to the transmission network.
The announcement is important for households, businesses and public institutions that rely heavily on electricity for daily activities. Another period of reduced power supply could increase operating costs for businesses that depend on diesel and petrol-powered generators as alternatives.
