Former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has confirmed receiving a courtesy visit from former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi following Obi’s successful screening as a presidential aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Kwankwaso disclosed the development in a statement released late Tuesday, where he described Obi as “my brother” and expressed confidence in the future of the party and the country’s political direction.
“The future is bright and full of promise,” Kwankwaso stated, a remark that has intensified speculation about growing cooperation and possible strategic alignment between the two prominent opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
