Engr. Adamu Muhammad Ma’aji Dokajin Tula, a Gombe State gubernatorial hopeful under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has issued a strong political statement addressing Nigeria’s worsening security and socio-economic conditions.
In the statement circulating online, he described the ADC as a “child of necessity,” arguing that the country is facing an urgent national crisis characterized by insecurity, economic hardship, and weakening public institutions.
He criticized what he termed the reduction of governance to “tax collection and rhetoric,” while alleging that insecurity continues to displace communities across northern Nigeria, forcing residents in some areas to flee into bushes for safety instead of pursuing livelihoods.
Engr. Ma’aji Dokajin Tula called for an urgent “national reset,” outlining the need to revive industries, restore agricultural productivity, strengthen education, and rebuild the healthcare system to meet basic standards of care and service delivery.
He also referenced recurring security challenges in parts of northern Nigeria, including Gombe State, urging stronger protection for affected communities and greater accountability from political leaders.
According to him, any government unable to guarantee security and welfare “lacks moral justification” to seek re-election, warning that continued hardship risks deepening public frustration nationwide.
The remarks come amid growing political activity and debate ahead of future elections, as opposition figures and civic voices continue to call for reforms in governance, security, and economic management.
