Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has urged the Federal Government and relevant authorities to take immediate steps to end the recurring violence in Otukpo, Benue State, saying it is no longer acceptable to remain silent while communities continue to suffer.
Reacting to the security situation in his hometown, the singer expressed deep concern over the persistent attacks that have claimed lives, displaced families and disrupted normal activities. He called on government officials to move beyond promises and implement practical measures that would restore peace and protect residents.
According to 2Baba, “We can’t pretend anymore, proffer solutions,” emphasising that the worsening insecurity demands urgent and coordinated action from all levels of government.
His comments come as concerns continue to mount over the security situation in parts of Benue State, where repeated attacks have left many communities in fear. Residents have repeatedly appealed for increased security presence and stronger interventions to prevent further violence.
