Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, has disclosed that the Federal Government will soon release a comprehensive report detailing the utilisation of savings generated from the removal of fuel subsidy.
Oyedele said the report is intended to provide Nigerians with greater transparency and accountability regarding how resources freed by the subsidy removal have been allocated and spent.
According to him, the document will outline the government’s expenditure priorities and demonstrate the impact of the fiscal reforms introduced since the subsidy was removed in 2023.
He noted that public demand for greater clarity on the management of subsidy savings has remained high, adding that the forthcoming report is expected to address many of the concerns raised by citizens, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
