The ceremony commemorated 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii; Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, of New York; Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, of North Carolina; and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas.
According to U.S. military reports, three of the service members were killed during an Iranian missile attack on a U.S. military installation in Jordan on July 17, while Sgt. Swinton died during a drone detonation incident in Iraq while on active duty.
Joined by senior military officials and grieving family members, President Trump participated in the dignified transfer ceremony, a military tradition in which the remains of fallen service members are received with full honors upon their return to the United States.
Addressing the bereaved families, Trump expressed the nation’s gratitude for the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers.

Supporters of the President, however, praised his attendance at the ceremony and highlighted his decision to transport members of the Feehan family aboard Air Force One following the memorial, describing the gesture as a demonstration of compassion and respect.
