Nigerian content creator and actor Isbae U has generated reactions online after publicly revealing his admiration for Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi, the wife of singer and entrepreneur Banky W.
The social media personality made the disclosure during an interview with VJ Adams, where he was asked to mention some celebrities he has a crush on. Isbae U named actresses Bolaji Ogunmola and Adesua Etomi among his choices.
Although he acknowledged that Adesua is married, Isbae U said he still admires the actress and noted that she was apparently unaware of his feelings.
He also directed a playful message to Banky W, asking the singer not to consider his confession a threat.
“Big shout out to Banky W, he used to reply to my chat, but I have a crush on Adesua,” Isbae U said.
He continued by jokingly assuring the singer that he should not be worried about the revelation, adding that he believed admiration for someone could be viewed positively.
The comments have attracted attention largely because of Adesua and Banky W’s status as one of Nigeria’s well-known celebrity couples. The pair married in 2017 and have continued to maintain a strong public profile.
Isbae U’s other choice, Bolaji Ogunmola, also joined the playful exchange. Reacting to his comments, the actress jokingly warned that she would inform his wife.
