Speaking on the Selah Medidate Podcast, Sowunmi argued that Obi’s outlook and impact appear largely regional, challenging him to identify projects—particularly nursing schools—funded outside his South-East base, especially in the South-West and Northern regions.
However, public records indicate that on November 12, 2025, Obi visited the College of Nursing Science, Oluyoro, in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he announced a ₦10 million donation to support facility upgrades and learning resources.
