The Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) has commenced a nationwide Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration awareness campaign aimed at encouraging all eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
As part of this initiative, teams of dedicated COPDEM volunteers have been deployed across the country to educate and guide eligible citizens through the PVC registration process, enabling them to exercise their constitutional right to vote and participate actively in shaping Nigeria’s democratic future.
COPDEM believes that credible elections begin with an informed and registered electorate. We therefore call on every eligible Nigerian to register for a Permanent Voter Card and prepare to elect credible, competent, and people-oriented leaders into all elective offices in 2027.
The National Secretariat wishes to emphasize that all PVC registration guidance provided by COPDEM volunteers is completely free of charge. No volunteer acting on behalf of COPDEM is authorized to demand or collect money from anyone for assistance with PVC registration. Anyone requesting payment is neither representing COPDEM nor acting under the directive of the National Secretariat.

Your Permanent Voter Card remains the most important legal instrument through which citizens can peacefully participate in the democratic process and determine the future leadership of our nation. There should be no room for procrastination. Every eligible Nigerian should seize this opportunity to register.
Nigeria belongs to all of us. Together, through active civic participation and peaceful democratic engagement, we can strengthen our democracy and restore our nation’s pride among the committee of democratic nations.
