Former Big Brother Naija housemate Chichi has reignited her long-running feud with fellow reality TV star Phyna following the latter’s recent dispute over a multimillion-naira celebrity boxing deal.
Chichi returned to the controversy on social media, criticising Phyna over her public disagreement with content creator Ashmusy. She questioned why Phyna continued to find herself involved in disputes with other personalities and urged her former colleague to reconsider her approach.
The reality star also referenced their previous disagreement, claiming that she had “laid enough curses” on Phyna after their highly publicised clash.
“I have moved since 2023 after Big Brother reunion show ended and I have laid enough curses on Phyna. Everything currently happening to you is a result of those curses,” Chichi reportedly said.
Her comments have added another layer to the latest controversy surrounding Phyna, who recently accused Ashmusy of attempting to have her removed from a proposed ₦15 million celebrity boxing event.
Phyna had alleged that she was initially contacted about the boxing opportunity before connecting the organisers with Ashmusy. She later claimed that Ashmusy wanted her removed from the arrangement. Ashmusy subsequently denied deliberately trying to sabotage Phyna and explained her own position on the proposed event.
Chichi, while reacting to the dispute, criticised Phyna over what she described as her continued public confrontations. She also claimed that she had previously been approached by the organisers of the boxing event but declined the offer.
The renewed exchange has attracted attention because Chichi and Phyna have had a contentious relationship since their appearance on Big Brother Naija. Their disagreement became particularly prominent during the 2023 reunion show, where the pair engaged in a heated confrontation. Phyna later defended her actions and alleged that parts of the confrontation were not aired.
The latest remarks have once again brought their unresolved differences into the public spotlight, with social media users debating the claims made by both reality stars.
