Rafi Local Government Area of has reportedly come under heavy attack as more than 100 armed men riding motorcycles invaded several communities, abducting over 150 residents, including women and children.
According to an eyewitness account relayed by Mohammed Idris, identified as the Rafi LGA Chairman of (COPDEM), the attackers stormed the area in large numbers, firing sporadically and creating panic among villagers.
The assailants were said to have operated for hours, abducting scores of residents while also killing an unspecified number of people during the raid. Several motorcycles were reportedly stolen as the attackers retreated into nearby forested areas.
Local sources described the incident as coordinated and overwhelming, with the gunmen moving in convoys across affected settlements in Rafi LGA.
