The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed that the inauguration of its Borno State Transitional Committee and the Membership Registration Committees was conducted in full compliance with party rules and with the approval of its National Working Committee (NWC).
In a statement, the party said the exercise followed all established guidelines and authorisations issued by the NWC, stressing that the process was lawful and properly constituted.

The ADC also strongly condemned the actions of some individuals who claimed to be party members but allegedly engaged in violent and disruptive behaviour during the exercise. The party described the actions as an attempt to frustrate a legitimate internal process.
According to the statement, the ADC remains committed to due process, internal democracy, and peaceful political engagement, and warned that it would not tolerate conduct capable of undermining party unity and lawful activities.
