Actress Angela Okorie Issues Public Apology to Mercy Johnson Okojie

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to her colleague, Mercy Johnson Okojie, following a dispute that escalated into legal action.

It will be recalled that Okorie was arrested on January 27 by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja, at her residence in Lagos over allegations of cyberbullying directed at Mercy Johnson. She was subsequently flown to Abuja and arraigned before the Federal High Court, where she was remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre on January 29.

The court granted Okorie bail in the sum of ₦5 million on January 30, a condition she perfected on Tuesday, February 3.

In a heartfelt video message shared online on Monday night, the actress expressed deep remorse for the derogatory remarks she had previously made about Mercy Johnson. She offered an unreserved apology and called for reconciliation and peace between them.

Okorie also disclosed that she and Mercy Johnson have since spoken privately, signaling a willingness on both sides to put the dispute behind them.
