A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted ₦200 million bail to activist and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, in his ongoing trial.
Delivering the ruling on Tuesday, Justice Mohammed Umar restored Sowore’s bail but imposed fresh conditions.
The court ordered him to produce two sureties, one of whom must be a traditional ruler from his community, while the other must own landed property within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Justice Umar also directed Sowore to deposit his international passport with the court registrar pending the determination of the case.
