Former Bayelsa State Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has called on party chieftains within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to take responsibility for their supporters and ensure discipline within the ranks, warning that escalating internal tensions could undermine unity and political stability.
Dickson made the appeal during a meeting with party stakeholders, where he expressed concern over growing disagreements and increasingly hostile exchanges among factions of the party. He emphasized that leadership responsibility extends beyond holding office to actively managing political conduct at all levels.
According to him, the party has made significant sacrifices and efforts to maintain cohesion, but some members and their supporters continue to engage in actions that threaten internal harmony.
