The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to formally unveil its Digital Membership Register on Monday, March 16, 2026, as part of efforts to modernize the party’s membership system and expand participation both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
According to a statement by the party’s National Leader, Sen Henry Seriake Dickson (HSD) the unveiling will be conducted alongside the National Chairman, Moses Cleopas.
The new platform is designed as a simplified and user-friendly digital system that will allow Nigerians to register as members of the party through two dedicated portals — one for citizens residing within Nigeria and another specifically for Nigerians living abroad.
Party members who had previously registered with the NDC have been advised not to create new registrations, as their existing membership records will be migrated into the new digital system.
The party leadership explained that the digital register aligns with its goal of building a transparent and people-driven political movement funded primarily through membership dues, levies, and voluntary donations rather than government support.
Although registration on the platform will remain free for all Nigerians, the party encouraged members to support its activities through donations and payment of membership dues.
In compliance with the requirements of the Electoral Act, the digital registration process will require prospective members to provide details including their name, address, sex, date of birth, place of residence, state, local government area, ward, polling unit, National Identification Number (NIN), voter’s card number, and a passport photograph.
The party stated that the completed digital membership register will subsequently be compiled and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) within the timeline stipulated by law.
The NDC leadership called on Nigerians who believe in democracy, transparency, and national renewal to register in their respective wards and participate in what it described as a growing movement aimed at building a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria.
