UAE President Issues Stark Warning to Iran Amid Rising Gulf Tensions

President has issued a strong warning to , declaring that the is “not easy prey” and cautioning Tehran not to underestimate the Gulf nation’s strength.

In remarks that signal a notable shift in tone from the traditionally cautious diplomatic language used by Abu Dhabi toward its northern neighbor, the Emirati leader referred to Iran as “the enemy” while addressing the escalating regional crisis.

Speaking during a visit to a hospital treating civilians wounded in recent missile strikes, Mohammed bin Zayed said he wanted to send a clear message to those threatening the UAE.

“I wanted to send a message to the enemy of the UAE,” the president stated.

“The UAE is beautiful, the UAE is a model to be followed, but I tell you, do not be deceived by that,” he added.

“The UAE’s hand can reach and is strong, its flesh is bitter, and we are not easy prey.”

The remarks mark the first public comments by the Emirati president since the outbreak of the current hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

The statement was broadcast shortly after the UAE’s air defense systems reportedly responded to a missile threat, highlighting the growing security concerns across the Persian Gulf. Earlier in the day, Iranian President had suggested that attacks across the Gulf region could come to an end.

However, the latest developments suggest that tensions remain high as regional powers prepare for potential escalation.

“We are carrying out our duty toward our country, our people, and those who live among us,” Mohammed bin Zayed said, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to protecting its territory and residents amid the unfolding crisis.

Security analysts warn that the increasingly sharp rhetoric between Gulf states and Iran reflects the widening geopolitical tensions in the Middle East as military confrontations and strategic alignments continue to evolve.
