President Bola Tinubu has joined religious leaders, members of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and admirers of Bishop David Oyedepo in celebrating the cleric as he marks his 72nd birthday.
Oyedepo, the founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, clocks 72 on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
In a birthday message issued by the State House, Tinubu congratulated Oyedepo and acknowledged his contributions to faith, education, leadership and human development.
The President said the bishop’s influence extended beyond his ministry, noting his involvement in education through Covenant University and Landmark University, as well as social-development initiatives associated with the David Oyedepo Foundation.
According to Tinubu, Oyedepo’s emphasis on integrity, discipline, diligence, responsibility and excellence has resonated with people in Nigeria and beyond.
The President also highlighted the role of the cleric’s ministry in education, publishing, leadership development and humanitarian activities.
“Bishop Oyedepo’s influence extends beyond the pulpit into education, publishing, leadership development and humanitarian service,” Tinubu said, describing the cleric as a prominent Nigerian voice on faith, leadership, integrity, education and human development.
He further commended Oyedepo for decades of preaching and for investments in institutions and initiatives aimed at developing human capacity.
Tinubu prayed for the bishop’s continued strength, wisdom and good health, while wishing him many more years of service to God and humanity.
