Mama P Challenges Trump’s Claim on Terrorism, Cites Kaduna Church Kidnappings

Popular social media influencer Precious Oruche (@p_oruche), widely known as Mama P, has publicly disagreed with former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that terrorists have been annihilated in Nigeria, describing the assertion as disconnected from the grim realities on the ground. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the influencer lamented that the U.S. Secretary of War is not telling President Trump the full truth about the scale and persistence of insecurity across the country.

Mama P pointed specifically to the kidnap of over 174 church worshippers in Kaduna State, alongside recurring abductions and killings in other parts of Nigeria, as evidence that terrorism remains deeply entrenched. According to her, the continued targeting of religious communities, rural populations, and unarmed civilians contradicts any narrative of decisive victory over terrorist groups. She argued that Nigerians are living daily with fear, displacement, and grief—conditions incompatible with claims of annihilation.

Her comments have resonated widely online, reopening debates about international perception versus local reality in Nigeria’s security crisis. While global partners often rely on official briefings and diplomatic reports, Mama P’s intervention reflects the frustration of citizens who say the violence is ongoing and worsening, not receding. She stressed that acknowledgment of the truth is the first step toward accountability, insisting that political optics must not replace the lived experiences of victims.

The remarks add to growing pressure on both Nigerian authorities and international allies to reassess security narratives and confront the persistence of terrorism, kidnappings, and religious persecution. As Mama P concluded in her post, “You cannot declare victory while graves are still being dug.”
