Big Brother Naija Season 11 has recorded another major eviction, with Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka exiting the reality television competition during Sunday’s live eviction show.
The eviction, announced on September 20, 2026, reduced the number of housemates remaining in the “Show Ya Sef” house to 10 as the competition moves closer to its final stage.
The trio became the latest contestants to leave the house following the eviction of Abi and Araga during the previous round. Their departure adds to an increasingly long list of housemates whose journeys have ended since the season premiered in July.
Before Sunday’s eviction, Martins, Mercedes, Kamsy, Cassi, Sultex, Goddessa and Gerard had also left the competition through eviction, while Neche exited the show voluntarily. The season also recorded the disqualification of Nomy during the week for violating Big Brother’s rules.
Chimsom Chuka was among the contestants who had been prominent in the competition since its opening weeks. The 27-year-old pharmacist from Anambra State was introduced as one of the original housemates when Season 11 began on July 26. During his time in the house, he participated in Head of House contests and other weekly activities.
He also reached the final stage of an earlier Head of House contest against Abi but eventually lost the final challenge. Abi went on to become Head of House and secured immunity for that week.
Yusuf and Bells also became notable figures in the house before their eviction. Both had featured in the nomination and eviction process during previous weeks, with Bells having benefited from a save during an earlier nomination twist.
Ahead of Sunday’s eviction, the housemates had been preparing for the possibility of another departure. Official updates from the show showed nominated contestants packing their belongings and participating in diary sessions before the live programme.
During his diary session, Yusuf described the game as unpredictable and rated his chances of surviving the eviction at six out of 10. Bells, meanwhile, gave herself a five-out-of-10 chance, saying she would accept the outcome if it was her time to leave. Chimsom also expressed uncertainty, rating his chances at 50/50.
The latest eviction continues a season that has featured several twists, including special nomination mechanisms, immunity privileges and the introduction of contestants known as Gambits.
The season opened with 24 housemates entering the Big Brother house on July 26. The winner is set to receive a ₦160 million grand prize, described by the organisers as the highest prize in the history of the Nigerian edition of the reality show.
The competition has also been marked by unexpected exits. Nomy was disqualified earlier in September after repeatedly violating Big Brother’s instructions, while Abi and Araga were later evicted in a double eviction that further reduced the number of contestants.
With Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka now out of the competition, 10 housemates remain in contention for the grand prize.
The remaining contestants will now face the final stages of the competition, where nominations, public voting and further twists are expected to determine who progresses to the finale.
For the evicted trio, their departure brings an end to their individual BBNaija journeys after nearly eight weeks in the “Show Ya Sef” house. Their next steps are expected to include engagements with fans, media appearances and other opportunities that typically follow participation in the reality show.
The latest eviction has therefore narrowed the field considerably, with the remaining housemates now competing for a place in the final stretch of Season 11 and the opportunity to claim the ₦160 million prize.
