Stop Defending Failure for ₦20k — Mallam Jabeer Slams APC Online Propagandists

A social media commentator, , has launched a strong criticism of individuals he described as online propagandists working for the (APC), accusing them of spreading misinformation in exchange for small financial rewards while ignoring the deepening crisis in northern Nigeria.

In a post shared on the social media platform , Jabeer dismissed claims that he is being sponsored to support any political figure. He insisted that he is neither unemployed nor politically contracted, emphasizing that his professional engagements are publicly known. According to him, no one has ever paid him to support any politician, stressing that his political support is driven by his belief that the individual he backs has the capacity to rescue Nigeria despite ethnic and religious differences.

Jabeer argued that his position stems from concern over the worsening conditions in northern Nigeria. He lamented that communities across the region continue to face persistent insecurity, including killings, kidnappings, and violence carried out by terrorist groups. He also pointed to broader structural challenges affecting the region, including widespread poverty, hunger, poor healthcare infrastructure, and a severely weakened education system.

The commentator further expressed concern about what he described as the exploitation of young people by political actors who allegedly recruit them online to defend government narratives. According to him, many of these individuals are paid relatively small amounts ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000 to promote political messaging on social media platforms, even as the realities in their communities continue to deteriorate.

He warned that such activities only distract from the urgent need to confront the region’s pressing social and economic problems. Jabeer maintained that instead of participating in online propaganda, young people should focus on building productive skills, contributing to economic growth, and engaging in efforts that address unemployment, poverty, and insecurity.

Reaffirming his stance, Jabeer said he deliberately avoids engaging in exchanges with what he described as paid political influencers because he believes they contribute little to meaningful national progress. He insisted that his own efforts remain focused on economic contribution, public awareness, and advocacy aimed at improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.

Concluding his remarks, he advised those involved in online political propaganda to seek more productive occupations, arguing that meaningful work and enterprise would contribute far more to society than defending political interests for small payments while communities continue to face serious hardship.
