Former presidential candidate Peter Obi on Sunday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma.
The Janazah (funeral prayer) for the deceased was held at the Abuja National Mosque, where family members, political associates, and well-wishers gathered to offer prayers for her soul.
Obi’s visit was seen as a gesture of sympathy and solidarity, as he joined others in mourning the loss and extending condolences to the El-Rufai family during the difficult period.
Prayers were offered for the repose of Hajiya Umma’s soul, with attendees asking that she be granted Aljannah Firdausi.
The condolence visit underscores a moment of unity across political lines, as leaders and public figures continue to show support to the bereaved family.
