“I would rather invest in desks for school children in Bwala’s community than spend money sponsoring falsehoods.”

Former Anambra State governor Peter Obi has strongly rejected claims by political propagandist Daniel Bwala that he once sought their political collaboration.

Reacting to the allegation, Obi dismissed the claim as baseless and used the opportunity to stress his long-held position that public resources should be directed toward meaningful social development rather than political propaganda.

“I would rather allocate resources to provide desks for children in Bwala’s village than pay him to concoct falsehoods for public consumption,” Obi said.

The sharp remark came after Daniel Bwala alleged that the former Anambra State governor had previously approached him to work together politically—an assertion Obi firmly denied.

Supporters of Peter Obi say the response reflects his consistent emphasis on prudent use of resources and investment in education, a theme that has remained central to his public messaging of Peter Obi.

Political observers note that the exchange highlights the intensifying verbal clashes among political actors as Nigeria gradually moves toward the next electoral cycle.
