A Nigerian woman has gone viral online after criticizing Bola Ahmed Tinubu and accusing his administration of attempting to sway voters through celebrity endorsements ahead of upcoming elections.
In a video circulating on social media, she warned that buying celebrity support would not translate into votes. “Tinubu is trying very hard to buy people’s vote, but we are not voting him,” she said.
She added that the administration had four years to earn the people’s support through tangible governance, including improvements in roads, security, and other essential services. “You are buying celebrities to make videos thinking that would work. What I just want to tell Nigerians is that use the pains of the last four years to vote,” she urged.
Her comments have sparked widespread discussion online, with many Nigerians echoing her concerns about governance and accountability, while others defended the administration’s efforts and initiatives over the past four years.
