BREAKING: “We Don’t Want Any Other Party Here” — Tension as APC Thugs Disrupt ADC Meeting in Bakassi LGA

Fear has gripped the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid a growing wave of intimidation, harassment, and violent attacks against the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Edo and Rivers State, with the latest incident occurring in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Eyewitnesses reported that suspected APC operatives stormed an ADC meeting in Bakassi, shouting, “We don’t want any other party here,” and disrupting the gathering. Attendees described a tense scene, with fear spreading among party members as the intruders intimidated and harassed participants.

Sources say that members and supporters of the ADC have increasingly faced threats, harassment, and occasional physical attacks at rallies and political engagements in Edo, Rivers, and Cross River States, raising concerns about political violence in regions where the ADC has been gaining influence.

Political analysts warn that such intimidation and harassment is a clear sign of a sinking ship for the APC in Nigeria, as the party appears increasingly desperate to maintain control amid growing opposition support. They caution that these tactics could further alienate voters and strengthen backing for rival parties in upcoming elections.

The ADC has condemned the actions and called on security and electoral authorities to ensure the safety of its members and uphold free and fair political activities.

As of now, the APC has not issued any statement addressing the alleged harassment and disruptions of ADC activities in these states.
