Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has reportedly urged the Gunners to make every possible effort to sign Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior, describing the Brazilian as a transformative talent worth any significant financial investment.
According to the remarks attributed to Wenger, Arsenal should not hesitate to pursue the forward if an opportunity arises, regardless of the size of the transfer fee.
“If Arsenal have even the slightest chance of signing Vinícius Júnior, they should move heaven and earth to make it happen,” Wenger was quoted as saying.
He reportedly argued that elite players of Vinícius’ calibre rarely become available on the transfer market, insisting that Arsenal should be prepared to spend whatever is necessary to secure his signature.
“I don’t care if the price is €150 million or even higher. This is the type of player you break the bank for. Players like Vinícius don’t become available every transfer window,” the statement continued.
